On Monday 17 June, The Open Data Knowledge Centre organised together with Lund University, University of Zagreb and Bochum University of Applied Science, a workshop ‘Towards an Open SDI’ in Limassol, Cyprus as part of the AGILE Conference. During this Workshop the recently adopted Open Data Public Sector Information Directive was explained and the impact of Open Data in Croatia, Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands was presented. In addition, we introduced the concept of open SDIs. During this workshop, we discussed how to overcome the challenges of open SDIs and to move towards an open spatial data infrastructure, in which everyone can participate.
